Actually, the market is stuffed with variety of heat pumps for residential applications and commercial/institutional buildings, but there are two types of heat pumps which can stand head and shoulder above other heat pumps in terms of efficiency, performance, technology, cost effectiveness. Geothermal heat pumps have been in use for about 50 years, now in fact this technology with fossil fuels is being developed for space cooling. More over these pumps consume up to 44% less energy than air-source heat pumps.
